SOS Approach To Feeding Workshops for 2012

This is a  flyer from the Neonatal and Infant Therapy Interest Group of the University of Queensland:

Dr Kay Toomey and Dr Erin Ross are returning ‘down under’ in 2012 to present another series of their hugely successful training events for paediatric health professionals.

The SOS Approach to Feeding is a trans-disciplinary program for assessing and treating children with feeding difficulties and poor growth (birth to 18 years of age), with a particular focus on early intervention in children from 6 months to 6 years of age. This approach integrates posture, sensory, motor, behavioural/learning, medical, and nutritional considerations to comprehensively evaluate and manage children with feeding and growth problems.

Registered health professionals who attend the basic training course will be eligible for accreditation to practice this program.
Queensland Children’s Medical Research Institute (QCMRI) is proud to host the following SOS training events in 2012:

Brisbane

  • 19-20 July (Thursday, Friday) SOS short course (open to health professionals who have already completed the SOS basic training course)

Melbourne

  • 23-25 July (Monday- Wednesday) SOS basic training course
  • 26, 27 July (Thursday, Friday) SOS special interest days (open to health professionals who have completed the SOS basic training course in 2012 or in previous years)

Auckland

  • 6-8 August (Monday- Wednesday) SOS basic training course
  • 9, 10 August (Thursday, Friday) SOS special interest days (open to health professionals who have completed the SOS basic training course in 2012 or in previous years)
